QTc Workshop DVD available now!
Richmond Pharmacology was proud to host the QTc Workshop, with world-leading expert speakers from St George's Hospital Medical School and the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Authority (MHRA), on the 29th September 2004.
Over the past decade, a number of medicines have been shown to prolong cardiac repolarisation (seen as prolongation of the QT interval). Consequently, QTc studies have become of paramount importance to the pharmaceutical industry. In recognition, the FDA mandates a minimum standard and code of practice is adhered to.
The workshop was designed to help attendees understand the clinical relevance of the QT interval, including examples of long and short QT intervals and methods of controlling these. Crucial to your means of bringing new medicines to the market, the workshop will also explore regulatory aspects, and, of course, best practice – the definitive QTc study. Please see the menu on the left for more details.
Richmond Pharmacology provides the UK's definitive QTc study setup. See our QTc studies page for more information.
The QTc Workshop was held at the John Parker Lecture Theatre, Atkinson Morley Wing, St George's Hospital Medical School.
