It is my pleasure to inform you that I have today joined Richmond Pharmacology a newly founded Phase I Unit based in London.
For the past few months our volunteer recruitment team have been busy recruiting volunteers to donate blood for drug free plasma.
Richmond’s new clinical pharmacology unit is based in the Atkinson Morley’s Hospital, Copse Hill, Wimbledon. Atkinson Morley’s hospital is part of St George’s Hospital and it is hailed as one of the most respected university teaching hospitals.
In October 2002 we proudly opened our second ward at our base in the Atkinson Morley hospital. We now have 52 beds available for Phase 1 studies and a total of over 50 staff providing the necessary resource and expertise; at the present time over 200 volunteers are participating in a range of ongoing studies, both on an in and out-patient basis.
Innovative approach? To help you remember Richmond Pharmacology at Halloween, we recently mailed out some 500 individually wrapped and tagged glow-in-the-dark 3 foot high skeletons to a very positive reception!
