Another milestone, Richmond Pharmacology celebrated its one year anniversary at the end of February.
With our staff now numbering more than 50 and monitoring equipment in place, a range of studies is now underway.

Our analytical laboratory will now be training others due to our recent performance. Liz Afonso, Laboratory Manager, states why.
To further improve our volunteer facility, we have installed a specialised nurse call system in the toilets, lounge, TV room, internet room, dining room so volunteers can press a “panic” button to call a nurse, wherever they are.
We have established a new web-based system for online data entry of our CRFs (Case Report Forms).
Richmond Pharmacology now has an exceptional volunteer database of over 17,000 volunteers and continues to outshine competition, recruiting on average 1,000 new volunteers to the database each month.
Richmond’s first-rate recruitment team continue to meet all recruitment targets, particularly those for special populations, while offering a standard of service unmatched by competitors.
Our exciting expansion programme continues with the opening of a brand new unit at St George’s Hospital, London. Richmond Pharmacology will now be the largest privately owned phase I unit in the UK.
We recently held an open day to welcome a wide range of clients, friends and NHS colleagues to our new 32 bed unit. The unit marks the next phase in our ongoing vision to forge closer links with academic colleagues in the Medical School whilst offering the safest trial environment for volunteers.
