As the Occupational Support Manager at Richmond, I am deeply passionate about fostering a workplace environment that nurtures the well-being of our employees. Today, I want to shed light on the significance of employee well-being and the dedicated actions we are taking as a company to support our valued employees.

In today’s fast-paced world, the importance of employee well-being cannot be overlooked. It directly influences business performance, employee productivity and engagement, and overall job satisfaction. At Richmond, we understand that a healthy workforce is a cornerstone of our success. Our commitment to employee well-being is woven into the fabric of how we work.

Accessible Occupational Support Manager

Open communication is key to addressing employee concerns promptly. As your dedicated Occupational Support Manager I am available to provide guidance, support, and a listening ear. Whether it's regarding mental well-being connected to personal or work-related challenges, I’m here to ensure employees are supported and able to be at their best.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

Acknowledging that everyone faces personal challenges at times, we have a robust Employee Assistance Program in place. This free confidential resource offers our employees access to professional support for a variety of situations in life, including face-to-face counselling by BACP-accredited counsellors, e-mail and phone support 24-hours a day, 365 days a year. We believe that a supportive workplace extends beyond professional realms. We want to break the mental health stigma, by providing people with access to the support they need and improve understanding of the topic amongst our community.

Mindfulness and Yoga Sessions

We recognise the power of mindfulness and physical activity in promoting well-being. That's why we offer regular mindfulness and yoga sessions on-site. These sessions not only provide a break from the demands of the day but also equip our employees with valuable tools to manage stress, enhance focus, and maintain balance.

Building Connections

We recognise the importance of fostering meaningful connections among our employees beyond their work tasks. We actively organise points of social connection that encourage camaraderie, joy, and better cohesion. Whether it's team-building opportunities, recreational events, or volunteer activities, we value the opportunity to bond outside the work environment. These experiences not only strengthen relationships but also promote a social wellbeing, contributing to the overall well-being and satisfaction of our people.

At Richmond, we understand that engaged and healthy employees are the foundation of our collective success. We value a holistic approach that nurtures physical, mental, and social well-being. When our employees thrive, so does our organisation.

In today's world, creating a supportive work environment is not a luxury but a necessity. At Richmond, we take pride in proactively addressing the wellbeing of our employees. We see it as an investment that yields immeasurable returns in terms of employee engagement, satisfaction, and overall organisational success.

As we move forward, we remain committed to fostering a workplace where our employees can thrive, grow, and achieve their potential. At Richmond, employee well-being isn't just a priority – it's a promise we uphold.
