Significant work has been undertaken to push forward the launch of a new apprentice scheme aimed at raising the profile of this high-level occupation.
The proposed new scheme was led by the Clinical Pharmacology Skills Alliance (CPSA), a group comprising the British Pharmacological Society, the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI), the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine (FPM) and Health Education England (HEE).
The apprenticeship seeks to address the current shortfall in skilled clinical pharmacologists practising in the UK health sector and boost awareness of the profession.Read the full article
Five Years Since a World-First CRISPR Breakthrough at Richmond Pharmacology

In November 2020, Richmond Pharmacology made medical history when a patient received the first-ever systemically delivered CRISPR therapy, using lipid nanoparticles to edit genes directly inside the human body.
Richmond Pharmacology will attend JSCPT 2025 in Tokyo, represented by their leadership team. Topics include early-phase studies, bridging studies between Europe and Asia, gene and RNA-based therapy development, and cross-border collaboration.
